Announcing Richard Schmid’s Streaming Video

Dear friends,

We’re very excited to share this brand-new Streaming video of the Enhanced edition of THE CAPTAIN’S PORTRAIT by Richard Schmid. His portrait demo of Captain John Adams, was filmed before a live audience in 2001 and with the magic of the internet, it is now available to stream directly from your desktop or laptop computer, i-Pad or other mobile device, or even on your mobile phone!

We’ve added several never-before-seen Special Features, described below: And, the Chapters are designed so it’s very easy to go back and re-watch, and learn from a segment at any time.

The Enhanced edition of THE CAPTAIN'S PORTRAIT includes:

  • Ten new special features, including a Montage of Richard's extraordinary portrait paintings.

  • The Captain's Portrait in 100 Seconds, a time-lapse video of Richard's demo of Caption John Adams.

  • Entertaining film clips of Richard describing his palette, as well as witty profile sketches.

  • Video presentations of Richard's favorite colors, brushes and palette knives.

  • Video presentations of Richard's biography and select exhibitions.

My favorite special feature is titled “Inspiration,” featuring the talk Richard gave at the end of his portrait demonstration. For those of you who are Richard’s fans, it’s amazing to see him sharing the journey of his own artistic career, as well as discussing his choices and the importance of painting meaningful pieces of art…
